Ingredients

For 4 servings

  • 200 g tortilla chips
  • 300 g ground beef
  • 400 g canned black beans
  • 200 g cheddar cheese
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 jalapeño
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • salt — to taste
  • black pepper — to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 100 g sour cream
  • fresh cilantro — to taste

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).

    Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add ground beef, cumin, salt, and pepper, cooking until beef is browned, about 5 minutes. Drain excess fat.

    On a sheet pan, spread tortilla chips evenly. Layer cooked beef, drained black beans, and shredded cheddar cheese over the chips.

    Dice the tomato, jalapeño, and red onion; sprinkle over the nachos.

    Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
