Ingredients
For 4 servings
- 1.5 pound chicken breast
- 4 cup broccoli florets
- 0.5 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon ginger
- 2 clove garlic
- 3 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 0.25 cup water
- 2 green onion
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- black pepper — to taste
Instructions
- 1
Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.
- 2
In a bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of soy sauce with cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Add the chicken pieces and marinate for 10 minutes.
- 3
While the chicken marinates, chop the broccoli into florets, slice the green onions, mince the garlic, and julienne the red bell pepper.
- 4
In a large pan or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- 5
In the same pan, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Add the broccoli and red bell pepper, stir-frying for about 4 minutes until they begin to soften.
- 6
Add the garlic and ginger, stir-frying for another minute until fragrant.
- 7
Return the chicken to the pan along with the remaining soy sauce. Stir everything together, cooking for another 2 minutes.
- 8
Add black pepper to taste and stir in the green onions and sesame seeds.
- 9
Serve hot, garnished with additional sesame seeds if desired.
