Ingredients

For 4 servings

  • 250 g spaghetti
  • 400 g shrimp
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 clove garlic
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp parsley
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes
  • salt — to taste
  • black pepper — to taste

Instructions

  1. 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

Peel and devein the shrimp, ensuring they are cleaned thoroughly. Pat dry with paper towels.

  3. 3

In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.

  4. 4

Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  5. 5

Add the shrimp to the skillet and sprinkle lightly with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.

  6. 6

Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

  7. 7

In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and squeeze in the juice of the lemon.

  8. 8

Return the cooked spaghetti and shrimp to the skillet, tossing everything to coat in the lemon butter sauce.

  9. 9

Add chopped parsley and adjust seasoning with additional salt and black pepper if needed.

  10. 10

Serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
