- 1 cup brown lentils
- 1 onion
- 2 carrot
- 1 can canned diced tomatoes
- 2 clove garlic
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- salt — to taste
- black pepper — to taste
- 4 cups water
