Ingredients

  • 300 g spaghetti
  • 1 can canned chickpeas
  • 1 can canned diced tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • salt — to taste
  • black pepper — to taste
  • 50 g grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

    Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add spaghetti, and cook according to package instructions until al dente.

    While the spaghetti is cooking, drain and rinse the chickpeas.

    Chop the onion and mince the garlic cloves.

    In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.

    Add the canned diced tomatoes, chickpeas, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Stir and let simmer for 5-6 minutes.

    Once the spaghetti is cooked, drain it and add it to the sauce. Toss to coat the spaghetti in the sauce.
