Ingredients

For 4 servings

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt — to taste
  • black pepper — to taste
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoon fresh dill
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  3. 3

Place the salmon fillets, skin-side down, in the hot skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the salmon is cooked through.

  4. 4

Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.

  5. 5

In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add butter.

  6. 6

Once the butter melts, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  7. 7

Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

  8. 8

Zest half of the lemon and squeeze the juice of the whole lemon into the sauce.

  9. 9

Add chopped fresh dill and stir well, letting the sauce thicken slightly for 2-3 minutes.

  10. 10

Serve the salmon fillets topped with the lemon dill sauce.
