Ingredients
For 4 servings
- 500 g lean ground beef
- 500 g broccoli florets
- 1 onion
- 3 clove garlic
- 200 g cheddar cheese
- 200 g plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- salt — to taste
- black pepper — to taste
Instructions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
- 2
Chop the onion and mince the garlic cloves.
- 3
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 tbsp of olive oil, and cook the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.
- 4
Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add another 1 tbsp of olive oil, then add the onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion is soft, about 3 minutes.
- 5
Add the broccoli florets to the skillet with 2 tbsp of water, and steam for 3-4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
- 6
Combine the ground beef and broccoli in a large baking dish. Stir in the Greek yogurt and mix well.
- 7
Grate the cheddar cheese and sprinkle it evenly over the beef and broccoli mixture.
- 8
Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown. Serve hot.
