Ingredients

- 2 can canned tuna
- 1 can canned chickpeas
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 tablespoon parsley
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- salt — to taste
- black pepper — to taste

Drain the canned tuna and chickpeas; rinse the chickpeas under cold water.

In a large bowl, mash the chickpeas with a fork or potato masher until mostly smooth.

Finely chop the onion and parsley, and mince the garlic.

Add the tuna, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the mashed chickpeas. Mix well until combined.

Form the mixture into 8 patties, about 1/2 inch thick.

Heat olive oil in a large non-stick pan over medium heat.
